Young Joan Trench has at last achieved her dream of owning her own pony. Rocky, a young moorland pony, is high-spirited, but Joan is determined to train him to be a good show jumper. In his first show Rocky jumps well, but, at the last jump two dogs upset his concentration and Joan has to be content with second place.
An updated version of the story appeared in picture story format and Joan Trench now called Debbie Trench
