No Swimming for Sarah

Plot

When Sarah, a promising young swimmer, was adopted by the rich Mrs Jones she thought her dreams had come true. That was until Mrs Jones told her the real reason for the adoption was to stop her swimming ever again. But Sarah was determined to keep swimming no matter what the obstacles.

Plot

Young Debra Wittaker lived happily with her adoptive mum, a widow, then she discovered that Mark Rutland, a new neighbour was her biological father.  Neither parent knew this  and to avoid a tug-of-love situation, Debra was keeping it secret and hoping to get her parents to fall in love and marry.

Taking Care of Cathy

Plot

Cathy Barnes was to be adopted by the Hansons and she was happy, but she discovered their daughter, Sara, had died from pneumonia after a cross country run. Mrs Hanson was determined to fuss and make sure nothing happened to Cathy. This was a problem for Cathy as she loved to be active and had joined the gym club at her new school.

Plot

Eva Bruce mistakenly believed that  she only had a few months to live. So she was desperately trying to mold her newly-adopted sister, Patsy, into HER ways, so that when she died, Patsy would take her place and ease their parents’ heartache. But Patsy was so different from Eva, it was very difficult!
