Plot

Daisy Dean, a scruffy but likeable girl, wanted to become  a little beauty queen and she got her chance when she was adopted by Madame Margot, who ran a beauty school for children. Although her father causes some problems.

Beauty’s Double

Plot

Twins, Kim and Carol Brookes were identical in appearance, but not in temperament. Kim was a tomboy while Carol was a budding beauty queen. While their parents were abroad for a year, the twins were left in the charge of Mrs Jameson, a neighbour. Then Carol’s face was scarred in an accident, and she proposed that Kim should take her place for a year while the scars faded. After winning a big beauty contest in Carol’s place, Kim found herself in great demand.

My Sister Jinx

Plot

Young Vicky Conway nicknamed her pretty  elder sister “Jinx” because she was so superstitious. Vicky persuaded Jiux to enter a beauty contest organised by Talbot’s, the store where they both worked. Their parents desperately needed a holiday and the first prize was two weeks on the Costa Brava for the winner’s family.

Slave to the Beauty Queen

Plot

Carol Conway is living with her elder sister Myra while their parents are abroad. Both of them like entering in beauty contests, but on the way back they have a car accident. Carol ends up with a scar but Myra seems to be only concerned with herself and her beauty queen career and starts ordering Carol around.
