Flower-Power Fay

Plot

Fay Bell discovered that she had a strange effect on plants, so that they grew stronger and more beautiful for her than for anyone else in her town. With news of her gardening talent getting around, the Bells’ jealous neighbours, the Braggs, couldn’t resist a chance of trying to score over Fay.

Plants of Peril

Plot:

Some huge thistledown floated into Paula Gates’ hotel room and her friend Marge Main, wanted to show it to botanist Dame Sybil Smith. But when the girls went to Flagge Manor, where they thought the botanist was staying, it was denied that she was there. On returning to the hotel the girls found that one of the thistle seeds had taken root and was growing at an alarming rate.

The Girl with Green Fingers

Plot

While June Rose’s grandfather was in hospital, the new PT manager at Greenfield Hall gave June and her mother notice to quit their cottage on the estate. June’s mother arranged for them to live with June’s Aunt Margo in the city, but June hated the idea of leaving the country and her beloved garden. She brought her grandfather’s special begonias with her, planning to find someplace to grow them and enter them in a Horticultural show.

The Amazing Miss Mitton

Plot:

Tough Market Street School had a new headmistress, in the form of gentle Miss Mitton, Val Hendry and her friends were sure they would have no trouble in getting rid of her and the vast collection of pot plants she possessed. However, none of their plans came to anything.
