The Amblemere Ark

Plot

Sandra Weston and her sister, Pauline, were spending their holiday on Lake Amblemere on their father’s cabin cruiser, “Kittiwake”. A huge dam had been built at one end of the lake and much of the countryside was flooded. The sisters renamed their boat the “Amblemere Ark” and set out to rescue as many animals as possible.

Plot

Cathy Dickson, Diane Taverner, Stephanie Taylor and Bridget Anfield, financed by the local farmers formed the Rescue Rangers. A call for help from any person or animal in danger or distress was immediately answered by them.

Plot

A former pupil of  Rockhaven Village School had left money  to keep the school from being closed on the condition that the pupils formed a local sea and mountain rescue team. Senior girls Kathy Davies and Gwen Jones had been appointed as team leaders.
