Sharon’s Secret Sister / Sarah’s Secret

Plot

Pam Roberts was being fostered by the Taylors when she discovered that Sharon James, a girl at the Children’s Home next door, was her sister. Sharon was delighted and hoped to share Pam’s foster family. They decided to say nothing yet, to make sure the Taylors wanted Sharon for herself. But Pam had no intention of letting Sharon join her.

In the reprint Pam Roberts is renamed Sarah Roberts.

Best Friends [1990]

Plot

Janet Osbourne and Tracey Mullins are best friends, and are dismayed to find they are being sent to different schools. They resolve to keep their friendship nonetheless. At her new school, Janet makes best friends with Anne. When she finds out Anne is really Mary-Anne, the cousin Tracey dislikes, she sets out to keep her friendship with the cousin secret from Tracey.

Plot

Sara Stanford is sent to stay with relatives when her parents go abroad. Sara finds it difficult living with a rowdy family because she is used to being on her own and needs some space. She finds it in restoring a rooftop garden on top of a disused department store.

Plot:

Marion vowed to make money anyway she could, even at the risk of being called mean, in order to take her Gran to London for the holiday the old lady always wanted.
