Plot

The Doones are a notorious band of robbers and murderers, living together like a family in a secret valley in Exmoor, Devon. Amongst them and growing up into a beautiful young woman, is Lorna Doone, whose background and presence there is a mystery. Although she is watched and not allowed to leave the valley, she  manages to meet John Ridd, a young farmer whose father was killed by the Doones.
