Plot

Carla Jones who was brought up as a gipsy, learned that she had been stolen as a baby. With  the help of photographs in a locket, she traced her parents—they were Mr and Mrs Matthews, who lived near the Children’s Home to which Carla had been sent. Carla was determined not to tell them who she was until she was sure they really liked her. Unfortunately, the more Carla tried to please them, the more she found herself in trouble.
