Plot

In the 1800s, Libby has been adopted by a rich couple. The mother believes that Libby is her actual daughter Charlotte, that was lost at sea when she was a baby, but her husband is not convinced and wants rid of Libby, thinking such beliefs are bad for his wife’s health.
