Plot
Joan Dixon, a young orphan girl, is a member of a wagon-train heading west across America in the 1860s. Joan joins the train as servant to a cruel couple called slade, but on the death of the Slades, she becomes the owner of their waggon and horses. As the wagon-train plods slowly west, Al Grice, one of the party, is impatient at the rate of progress.
