Plot

In 1940, during the  Second World War, Belle Britton. an English girl, is travelling with a puppet show through German-occupied France. She is helping Tim Watson, a saboteur, to find her French mother, who is a Resistance worker. When she gives a puppet show at a small school, the caretaker betrays her to the Germans.
