Plot
Elaine Morgan, robbed of a great chance of winning the ladies’ singles at Wimbledon,by a leg injury, vows to find another Welsh girl whom she can train to win this coveted title. The girl she chooses is Linda Rees. The training takes years of patience and hard work, but now Linda is playing at Wimbledon with an outside chance of winning. Worried by trouble in the village where she lives, Linda performs poorly in her first match, but a telegram that tells her the trouble has been cleared up boosts her spirits.
