Princess of the Sun

Plot

While on an expedition to the east, Professor Ross found and adopted a baby girl. He named her Linda Ross. Fourteen years later, it was found that Linda was a royal princess and heir to the throne of the eastern state of Kurata. Linda returned to Kurata, where she soon became suspicious of Kara, the Chief Priestess of the Temple of the Sun, and Zyeddin, another of her advisers. Linda’s Senior Minister and only friend, Kalmut, was seriously ill and Linda believed he was being poisoned!

Last of the Cheviots

Plot

Cassy Lee a young gipsy was the double of Lisa Cheviot who had drowned in an accident. Lisa’s grandfather Lucas refused to accept she was dead and relatives of his, Liz and Bernie Fraser, persuaded Cassy to take Lisa place telling her and the servants that it was for Lucas’ peace of mind. But Cassy soon found out the Frasers were after his money and  she also discovered a portrait of Lady Mildred one of the Cheviots ancestors had an evil power over her and was using her to try and destroy the House of Cheviot.

Lady Sarah of the Sweeps

Plot

Young Lady Sara Winthrop had been left in the care of Melissa her governess. Melissa ran off to London leaving the other servants to think she taken Sarah on a visit to her aunt. In fact Sarah had dressed up to help some boy sweeps and was in a chimney in a house when she overheard a murder being plotted. However Wiggy the sweep-master discovered that she was a girl and put her in local workhouse. The other sweeps rescued her and took her home but her fathers gamekeeper did not recognise her

Tamar All Alone

Plot

Gipsy girl, Tamar Lee escaped from the Borrowcliffe charity school when she discovered it was the headquarters for a gang of jewel thieves led by the mayor, Mr Burrowcliffe. Now she was trying to find an honest magistrate to whom she could tell the truth about the school.
