Princess at Park Street

Plot

Anna Simons was very stuck up and hated her new school Park Street Comprehensive, which she felt was beneath her. When news broke that a foreign princess was secretly attending a school in the area, some girls in Anna’s class became convinced that Anna was the princess. Anna decided life might be more fun if she kept up the deception.

Sisters of Sadness

Plot

When Eleanor and Victoria Brook-Thomson’s parents were killed in a car accident, the girl’s discovered they were penniless as the family home had to be sold to pay off debts. The girls were sent to live with Mrs Johnson, the family dressmaker. Victoria was very grateful but, Eleanor, her snobbish sister thought that living in such a  place was beneath her. Unknown to Eleanor her biological mother was actually Mrs Johnson who had given her up to the Brook-Thomsons for a better life.

A Girl Called Halliplunk

Plot

Jessie Halliplunk, a coalman’s daughter, is being educated at a famous girls’ school at the wish of a distant wealthy relative, Lord Halliope-Plunkett. At first, Jessie does not fit in too well, but after proving to be a first – class rider, she wins the girls approval—except for Cynthia, the former riding champion! Cynthia sends a telegram on the day of the riding championship final that sends Jessie hurrying home, thinking her father is ill.

Plot

The Honourable Virginia Creeper had recently  become a pupil at St Katherine’s, an expensive boarding school for girls, to the great delight of the snobbish headmistress, Miss Agatha Nobb. Pippa Storm and her friends had tried to be nice to Virginia, but she was determined to cause trouble

Plot

Betsy Bell’s father. who was on the stage, saved enough money to send her to exclusive Park Hall School. But the snobs at Park Hall did not make Betsy welcome. Lady Myrtle Poop and Hefty Fitzherbert were always up to  tricks, but Betsy had some tricks of her own that she had learned from her hypnotist father.
