Plot

Fourteen year old Lynne Jones had lived in a Children’s Home since her parents were killed in a train crash. The only possession Lynne had from the past was a smiling handcarved wooden doll. On her way for a holiday Lynne discovered another doll almost identical to her own – the second doll wasn’t smiling. Lynne discovered that the man who made the doll was travelling along the coast. Convinced that he could tell her something about her past, Lynne set out to find the stranger.

Plot

Lisa Roberts had been brought up in an orphanage and knew nothing of her early childhood but, with the help of a gipsy crystal ball, she hoped to find out about her parents. Lisa joined a group of gipsies. two of them—Benito and Carla—had promised to help Lisa to find Old Bella, a gipsy woman who often appeared in the crystal’s strange pictures. Lisa was grateful for their help, and was completely unaware that they were tricking her—for they knew very well that Old Bella was dead!
