Plot

When Carrie Yates offered to look after a stray  cockatoo until the owner claimed it, she soon found that she had taken on more than she had bargained for. Not only did Chico often land them both in trouble, but two men; Sam Sloper and Ned Ruffin, for some reason of their own, were trying to get their hands on Chico.
