Della Suffolk’s dreams showed her future events. Sometimes she was able to stop bad incidents from happening, but always seemed to land herself in trouble in the process. She couldn’t tell her greedy parents, as she knew they’d try to make money of her talent.

The Hateful Heart of Limp-Along Lindy

Plot

Lindy Farrar’s  family were all  sympathetic to her, because of a leg injury from road accident. Her cousin Marion Waddell, was especially kind to her. What they didn’t know  was that swimming therapy had cured her limp  but she still pretended to have it so she could give herself unfair advantage over kind hearted Marion.

A Dad for Debra

Plot

Young Debra Wittaker lived happily with her adoptive mum, a widow, then she discovered that Mark Rutland, a new neighbour was her biological father.  Neither parent knew this  and to avoid a tug-of-love situation, Debra was keeping it secret and hoping to get her parents to fall in love and marry.

A Game of Let’s Pretend!

Plot

When Alison Shaw’s widowed mother had to go the hospital, her cousin Susan came to look after Ally and her younger siblings, Lynne and Jon. But Susan soon grew tired of the responsibility ran off leaving Ally to cope alone.  Not wanting to cause problems,  Ally decided to pretend to everyone Susan was still with them.

Plot

Holly Taylor was determined that her parents would win the Dunlow Loving Cup, an annual award made to the local couple who had not quarreled for a whole month prior to Dunlow feast day. Holly had a bet with snooty Cynthia Simpson and would lose her new bike to her, if Cynthia’s parents won.

Taking Care of Cathy

Plot

Cathy Barnes was to be adopted by the Hansons and she was happy, but she discovered their daughter, Sara, had died from pneumonia after a cross country run. Mrs Hanson was determined to fuss and make sure nothing happened to Cathy. This was a problem for Cathy as she loved to be active and had joined the gym club at her new school.

Plot

Wanda Wainwright’s Gran was the caretaker of the Shoreleigh Waxworks museum. There was something special about the museum – some of the exhibits that once belonged to the mysterious Professor Marvo, came to life now and again!
