- Don’t Cry For Me! – Bunty: #1131 (15 September 1979) – #1183 (13 September 1980)
“Don’t Cry For Me ” begins in Bunty #1131 (September 15, 1979).
“Don’t Cry For Me” ends in Bunty #1183 (September 13, 1980). This serial lasted exactly 52 issues. This seems a long time for a serial to me. I did not grow up with these (wrong sex and wrong country). These are a retirement hobby for me. Were there any serials not soaps that lasted longer?
Merry at Misery House from Jinty lasted longer: 62 episodes.
Thanks for the dates Ronnie. It had an impressive run, quite unusual for on off serial.
I’m not as familiar with Jinty but most of the serials I have seen in DCT publications seem to last from eight to fourteen issues.
