Plot

Linda Lee, who has been sent to stay with her grandparents on the Isle of Stone, is looking after the Silver Rabbits, a famous circus act. She is dismayed to discover that rabbits are hated by the islanders because their burrowing once caused a serious quarry accident. Linda hides the bunnies in an old lighthouse. Later, Doreen Denny, the Silver Rabbits’ trainer, who has been in hospital, comes to the island to recuperate.
