Plot:

11 year-old Mary Barlow has just moved to a new town and started at St. John’s School for Girls, on her first day, she is dismayed to discover that Miss Caldwell, the crippled sports mistress, insists on every girl swimming. Mary is terrified of water but, after lessons that day, she goes to the school pool to try to overcome her fear. Just as she is standing on the edge of it, Miss Caldwell comes along, trips over her stick and falls into the water!
