Plot
Olwen Peters and her classmates were competing as a choir in the Abervale Singing Festival under the leadership of Margaret Tarrant, a young woman who wished the choir to sing her late father’s unpublished music for the first time. The choir had had to practice in secret, as singing was forbidden them by Mrs Pugh, who owned the village and valley of Llanbryn where they lived.

What’s Mrs Pugh got against singing?
Here’s a broad guess. Unknown to Mrs Pugh, Margaret Tarrant is her granddaughter. Mrs Pugh’s son married her mother in secret as Mrs Pugh didn’t approve. After her son died in a quarry accident, Mrs Pugh banned all singing in the valley, until Margaret revealed to her who she was, and made her listen to her son’s music again.
I don’t have these Buntys, but the story was reworked as Bunty PSL 151 “Where No Voice Sings!”
