Plot:
Early in the Second World War, Kitty and three other members of the Sparkles, a troupe of British child artistes, were trapped in Paris as the German army began its advance. Kitty took upon herself the task of getting the three little boys to safety. She told the children an old Irish legend of the swan children of Lir, and dreamed that Fionula, the swan maiden, promised her help. As the children accepted a lift in a farm cart, four white swans flew over as if to point the way ahead.
