Plot
Bunty had a number of complete one-off text and picure stories, over the years. It also sometimes had short humour strips. In later years it also had complete photo stories. Some stories included:
Two Little Piggies Went to Market
When Pam Wilson’s two pigs, Wilf and Simon, are stolen by some crooks they aren’t expecting her to be able to prove their hers, but they did not know they were performing pigs. Pam is able to prove they are hers by showing them dance.
Bess and her Pup
A humour strip about Bess and her pup Pooch.
“I Don’t Like Dogs!”
Special complete story. Mrs Kemp has terrible cynophobia (fear of dogs) and this fear passes on to her daughter Helen. After Mrs Kemp dies, Dad finds a new girlfriend, Rowena, but when Helen sees she has a golden retriever, Benji, her cynophobia starts causing problems with the new relationship. It gets to the point where Helen tries to deliberately lose Benji in the hope Rowena will leave. But when a mugger attacks Helen and Benji comes to the rescue, everything changes.
Rosie’s Return
A girl goes back to her old house in Kinley and ends up wishing she hadn’t. She had a quarrel with her friend Carol before she moved, and when she meets Carol again, she is freaked out by Carol having a ghostly encounter with a girl named Rosie.
Misty
Sara has an encounter with a rider on a white horse that she cannot explain.
Ghosthunters
Jilly, Sue and Natalie decide to go ghost hunting, and their hunt takes an unexpected turn.
Puppy Love
Lauren Dean has always wanted a pet, but it was not possible as her family live in an apartment block. Then Dad changes jobs and the family move into a cottage, where Lauren can have a pet at last. A stray dog adopts Lauren, and Lauren names her Spot. Spot dies, but not before she has given birth to three puppies, who become Lauren’s new pets.
