Plot

Stacey Day is staying with Aunt Estelle while her parents are abroad. She meets a strange girl named Silvia who is very keen to make friends. But then Stacey discovers that Silvia is jealous and possessive. Moreover, Silvia is a ghost who keeps leading Stacey into danger!

The Boy Zone

Plot

Complete stories about boyfriends and romance. Some had happy endings, some had not. Stories included a girl who makes up a boyfriend so she doesn’t feel left out of conversations, this backfires on her when a boy does ask her out, but on hearing she has a “boyfriend” doesn’t want to have anything to do with a two-timer.

The Proud Willoughbys

Plot

Emily and Victoria Willoughby become destitute when their father is lost at sea and their mother is injured in an accident. All their servants leave except the kitchen maid Jenny. The girls are too proud to let anyone find out about their poverty, so they they all turn to running the household themselves with Jenny’s help. But they soon find they have hard lessons to learn, including raising income and Victorian house-cleaning.

May and Myrna

Plot

May Maddox is the model daughter, to the point of some schoolmates calling her a goody-goody. Then May writes an essay where she imagines herself as a much wilder girl named Myrna. Soon after, a real girl named Myrna turns up and she starts causing trouble for May.
