Tom Came Too

Plot

Spoilt, selfish Philippa Graham was  thrilled when her aunt Pat agreed to pay for her education at exclusive Marston Manor Boarding School. However, there was one condition —that Philippa should learn to ride and care for Aunt Pat’s horse, Tom. Philippa didn’t object to this until she discovered that Tom was a huge, ungainly carthorse and all the other girls had beautiful thoroughbreds. Now she was desperate to be rid of him.

The Visitor

Liz Fenner and her father had been very close ever since the death of Liz’s mother. Liz’s father wrote film scripts and Liz often helped him with his research. However, all this changed when Stella, a distant cousin, came to stay. Stella’s lazy and selfish behaviour seemed to go unnoticed by Mr Fenner, but was causing a lot of problems for Liz.

Lucy Maxwell was unhappy at her new school, Eastbank Ladies College, where she felt the other girls were snobs who looked down on her. Lucy’s only “friend” was another new girl, Juliet Martin, but Juliet was in fact a spiteful troublemaker who was secretly turning the other girls against Lucy.
