Selina Parr and her parents had just moved into a converted Victorian school building on Sinister Street. Selina enjoyed staying there but grew frightened whenever she heard the school bell ring. For this seemed to transport her back in time to cruel Sinister Street Academy where she became schoolgirl Sara Jane Smith.
Thirteen-year-old Flora Marchant had been sent to Stonemoore School by her guardian, Silas Slater. Flora soon discovered that the school was a cruel home for poor unwanted children, run by a woman called Mrs Blackley, who was secretly in league with Silas.
Humour strip, following two girls Liz and Lucy. It started as a short strip inside comic and then appeared as the front cover of Nikki for a long time. When Nikki merged with Bunty the Girls Talk came with the merger, it later was renamed Girls Talking.

Alison and Joanne Walker were taking part in a training scheme for young showjumpers run by former international showjumper, Marion Farley. Marion believed that all showjumpers should be competitive and ride to win! When Alison’s horse, Snowbird.,` went lame, Jo suggested that they share her horse, Skylark. Marion thought this was a good idea, but the girls suspected she would use it as another means to turn them into rivals.
Kathy Donovan had been told by Gala, who came from the planet Orphides, that she had been chosen to receive Gala’s super powers, as Gala only had one year to live. Kathy had agreed to receive the, powers, but she had to keep it a secret. Kathy’s twin brother, Alan wanted to find out what was going on.
Gail Hughes was a boarder at Towerchester School, founded by her ancestor, Sir Joshua Hughes. When new headmistress, Miss Steele wanted to do away with the school’s old traditions, Gail set out to get rid of her — helped by Georgina, the ghost of Sir Joshua’s daughter!
