Plot

After Sandra Smith’s parents separated, she and her mother moved to Minfield. But to her dismay, Sandra discovered that her Dad had moved too—he was the new Headmaster at Minfield comprehensive. Until she and her Mum were permanently settled in Minfield, Sandra felt that neither of her parents should know the other was in the same town.

“My Darling Daughter!”

Plot

In Victorian Times, orphanage superintendents, Henry and Bertha Lucas, tricked the wealthy Mrs Fenton of Langford Square into accepting their niece, Mabel, as her long lost daughter, Letty. Later the Lucas’s found out that Mabel (as Letty), her new maid, Ruth Stevens, was Mrs Fenton’s real daughter. They urged their nice to make Ruth’s life so miserable she would give up her job.

Gracie Parker was staying with her uncle Lord Larkspur, at his Elizabethan Manor. He had saved the house being sold by finding unpaid staff to turn it into a guest house. The staff were unusual as they were four ghosts who haunted east wing.

Bev’s Bewitched Baton

Plot 

Bev Milne’s blind mum was in New York for an operation hopefully to restore her sight. She left Bev in charge of her newly formed Majorettes, telling her to use the silver baton she had used in her own majorette days. But the baton had struck a witches stone and under the evil power of witch Grizel, it was out to destroy the majorettes.

That Boy Ben

Half way through term a new boy, Ben Street, joined Sue Hardy’s class. He was rude and aggressive to everybody but he had rescued Sue’s puppy from the river and she felt obliged to try and help him and be friends with him.

Since orphan Cindy Rollo went to stay with loving foster parents, she was over the moon with happiness. But past events convinced Cindy that she must never hear a clock strike 12 midnight, or like the story of Cinderella her happiness would disappear.
