Plot

Orphaned Shirley Richards was living in Cedar Lodge Children’s Home.  She was amazed when Mr Brown, her father’s solicitor, told her that her parents had left her a fortune. Shirley wanted to be fostered, but she decided to keep her wealth a secret until the right foster parents were found for her.

“This is Your Home”

Plot

Fourteen year old, Magdalen Dennion was convinced that her father, who had  lost his memory, was the rightful heir to Sedley Hall, the big house where she worked as a housemaid. Once, when looking at a painting or Sedley Hall, Mr Dennion had said, “This is your home …”—and so started Magdalen on the search for her father’s family. However, a man claiming to be the missing heir, Sir Richard Sedley, had appeared and was instantly accepted as genuine by old Lady Sedley, whose sight was bad. Discovering that the man calling himself Sir Richard was an impostor, Magdalen realised that he would go to any lengths to keep the fortune that was within his grasp. Magdalen suspected that the butler, Soames, was also in the plot.

Esky Mo

Plot

When Old Bart dies he leaves everything to his adopted Eskimo daughter, Monakapanik or Mo for short. Mo thinks this means she will be in charge of his general store in the Canadian Arctic and is surprised to find out Old Bart was actually a knight and wealthy man. She goes to England to stay with his relatives in England, who were not so happy about it.

Toni and the Time Trigger

Plot

Toni Stacy and her father had inherited the large house in which Toni’s great  Uncle Joshua had lived as a recluse and, to afford its upkeep, they were running it as a museum. Max Smiter, a crooked businessman, wanted to build a gambling club on the site and was determined to get rid of the Stacys and the museum. But Toni was helped by a strange gadget, the amazing Time Trigger, which had been given to her by a visitor from space named Zargot.

The Search for the Singing Boxes

Plot

Emily Dixon had led a spoilt, sheltered life in the Victorian home of her Grandfather, a  retired toymaker. But when her Grandfather died, Emily discovered that all he had left her was a collection of musical boxes, hidden in various places. Emily set out with her maid, Dora Jones, to recover the boxes.
