Plot

Penny Whistle, lived with her Uncle Dan, who owned a second hand shop. Uncle Dan bought musical instruments sometimes, and Penny, a natural musician learned to play every one. She achieved her great ambition when she was accepted as a member of the Imperial Youth Orchestra. The orchestra was going on a ten days’ course at Bellbridge College before going on a tour. One of the other members Sylvia Norton was a snob and looked down on Penny and her uncle’s “junk shop”.
