Plot:

Andrew Kirby, a  widower, and editor of a local newspaper, is elected Mayor of Westford. His daughter, Marilyn, becomes Lady Mayoress, much to the annoyance of Harold Watson, editor of a rival newspaper, and his daughter, Gwen. Harold Watson causes trouble and arranges accidents , in order to discredit Marilyn and her father.
