Misery Mill


It is the year 1833 and Amy Barton a young orphan, is trying to make a living with her hand loom, in her cottage near Henry Crail’s mill. A new law is passed saying that factory children must have two hours schooling a day, and Amy becomes a teacher at Crail’s mill. She is worried when she discovers some of the men plan violence to force Crail to give them better working conditions.
