Plot
Carol Burns and her family are going to emigrate to Canada in a few months. Carol is trying to raise the £100 to pay the fare for Timmy, her beloved sheepdog.

I can’t remember exactly when this story was published but think it was in the early 1970s. It may even have been pre-decimalisation, as at one point Carol puts some money in a church collection box (possibly a sixpence or half crown?) as a thank you. I think the story ends with a grateful businessman paying for the rest of Timmy’s fare.
