Plot

Carol Burns and her family are going to emigrate to Canada in a few months. Carol is trying to raise the £100 to pay the fare for Timmy, her beloved sheepdog.

  1. I can’t remember exactly when this story was published but think it was in the early 1970s. It may even have been pre-decimalisation, as at one point Carol puts some money in a church collection box (possibly a sixpence or half crown?) as a thank you. I think the story ends with a grateful businessman paying for the rest of Timmy’s fare.

    1. Thanks Ramon for all the information. Interesting about art, I will have to check back on the reprints about differences, though one plot point is Carol cuts her hair and sells it to earn some money, so that may account for different hairstyles in some episodes.
