The Girl with the Golden Voice / The Sunshine of her Songs

Plot

Carole Chatton found joy in singing but her stepmother Kaye, hated Carole and was always cruel to her, while her father was away. Kaye finds ways to try and stop Carole suceeding like when she gets invited to sing at concert, Kaye burns the letter, but Carole finds out about it, but has no dress to wear to the concert. With help from her neighbour Flossie, an ex-entertainer, she wins money in a talent contest but Kaye finds out and takes the money so again she’s left with nothing to buy a dress.
