Plot
When orphaned Wendy O’Brien went to live with her grandmother on the island of Inishkee, off the coast of Ireland, she found it hard to make friends. The islanders hated her, and their dislike grew when Wendy adopted Sheena, a baby seal. When her grandmother was taken to hospital on the mainland, Wendy decided to go to a deserted island near Inishkee, where Sheena would be safe.
