The Secret of the Dancing Dolls

Plot

In 1803, Lisbeth Leach ran away from the orphanage in which she was being brought up. She was “adopted” as niece by Charles and Sarah Cox, a puppeteer and his wife, who took Lisbeth with them on their tour of France. The French authorities were suspicious of them and it seemed like they were using the puppets to send secret messages.
