Wendy’s Web (1997)

Plot:

A race of spider-like aliens select seven girls for study. To capture them, they have one of their race adopt human form and start at the girls’ school as Wendy Forbes. But one of the girls, Hannah Matthews, gets suspicious of Wendy.

Spog

Plot

Sally Williams’ friend, a stranded space-traveller, was a dog called Spog! Sally, invited along with her parents to dinner by Sir Richard Langthorpe, discovered Spog in the dining room although she had believed that he was in the town kennels. Before she could get Spog away, someone came into the room.

Melos of Venus

Plot

Melos, daughter of the ruler of the planet Venus, had come to earth on a state visit. She brought with her two bodyguards, Minitia  and Rubrian, and her little robot, Clickety. One afternoon they set of from their hotel to visit a children’s home, but Clickety causes some problems.

Pam on the Purple Planet

Plot

Nurse Pam Massey is transported, car and all, to the distant Purple Planet in outer space, where a mysterious illness threatens to wipe out the Volentian population. The sickness turns out to be whooping cough! Pam agrees to cross to the uninhabited side of the planet to find a cure. She is accompanied by a six-legged dog called Zeta and a Davit, a flying machine controlled by the Volentians.

Children from the Stars

Plot:

When  a spaceship landed in the village where Beth Bantry lived, a force field was thrown round it cutting it off from the world. Strange children, with their teacher, Kong, appeared from the craft and took over the schoolhouse where Beth’s father was the schoolmaster. The villagers were growing tense and, due to the influence of Ogden Thorpe, an enemy of Beth’s father, one of the space-children was shot. The space-children used their amazing powers to save Clovis, the injured girl. Beth’s father hod gone missing, then he appeared, escorted by the space-children.

Slaves of the Sinister Eye

Plot:

Sports writer Pat Fraser had been mysteriously  transported to a strange palace where a woman known as the Princess ruled with the aid of a hypnotic eye, which hovered in the air, and a voice that came from nowhere. There, she watched a girl called Lora skate against world champions and beat them! For each victory, Lora was rewarded with the release of one of tie the prisoners from the dungeons beneath the ice rink. Ranulf, Lora’s cousin, tried to escape and, before he was recaptured, he managed to hide a bracelet that gave the wearer protection against the mysterious eye that spied on everything that happened in the palace. Later, Pat went into the grounds to look for the bracelet.

The Secret Power of Suzy Smith

Plot

Something crashes beyond the town of Greenstead. When Joe Smith and Bill Bows investigate the site they find a baby with a strange star mark on her forehead. The baby is unclaimed, so the Smiths adopt her and name her Suzy. Twelve years later, Suzy investigates the site and finds a strange glowing ball that begins to have strange effects on her, including giving her powers but also controlling her mind.

Meanwhile, the planet Zair is receiving signals from their ship that crashed on Earth twelve years ago, and the Zairians realise there is a survivor. They soon track Suzy down and start using her for invasion plans of Earth because their sun is set to explode.

The Newcomers

Plot

Eta and her brother Elvin are aliens from the planet Topaz-9 who crash-land on Earth. Rescue will take time, so they are advised to keep their identities secret and integrate into Earth society as best they can. But this is not proving easy.

Plot:

Belle Brown owned a ball that developed strange powers after being treated by some space travellers from the planet Orbis. They used the ball to learn about Earth.
