Princess of the Tower

Plot

Valerie Hall and her sisters, Edna and Jo. lived in Angel Tower,  a high rise block of flats built near Oakhill Estate. The people of Oakhill Estate, where Edna’s boyfriend, Greg Palmer, lived with his family, did not want high flats next to them. To try to cool down the situation, the council organised a contest to choose a Princess of the Tower — the girl who would do most to bring the two communities together. Val was putting on a concert to help the local Home for Crippled Children.  Val had made an enemy of Helen Wade, her closest rival in the contest.

Plot

Storyteller tells stories revolving around masks. Each story had it’s own title. In Best of Enemies two rivals end up becoming friendly after a fancy dress competition.

Plot

Orphan Debbie Moore lived with her cruel Uncle Bert and Aunt Rose and their three children; twins Nick and Tony and daughter Jasmine. Debbie rescued an injured flippety-eared hare from the family dog and was determined to a nurse it back to health, secretly.

Plot

The once great Chalfont School for Girls was completely run-down and when the headmistress left, taking the school funds with her, it seemed the school would close. But the girls liked the easy life, and decided that one of the girls, Cynthia Smythe, would pose as headmistress and so keep the school open.

Flossie Fights Back!

Plot

Tania Jones, the world’s worst pupil, had made a – very unusual friend at her new school. Flossie Ponsonby, the Head of Grimsley Academy, was furious to learn that a mistake by the board of governors” meant that she couldn’t retire  for another year. So,Flossie had enlisted Tania’s help in order to take her revenge.

The Amazing Miss Mitton

Plot:

Tough Market Street School had a new headmistress, in the form of gentle Miss Mitton, Val Hendry and her friends were sure they would have no trouble in getting rid of her and the vast collection of pot plants she possessed. However, none of their plans came to anything.
