Ragamuffin Ballerina

Plot

Karen Lowe, a homeless London waif, was being cared for in the country home of Trevor Madison, a composer. She worked for her keep, doing housework and there were three guests in the house – Sylvia Stratton, a spoiled child star, who was to the dance the lead in Trevor’s new Baller “The Fairy Princess” , her wealthy mother who was financing the new ballet and the choreographer Jeff Stevens.  One night  Karen had an unusual instance of sleep dancing! The others in the home see her dance and are amazed at her natural talent but the Stratton’s see her a problem and demand Trevor get rid of her if he wants his ballet funded.

Pavement Ballerina

Plot

Tessa Turner, grows up poor, but has a talent for dance. A meeting with a homeless woman, Rosie, who tells her she is a former ballerina and will teach her to dance, changes her life. She begins to take her lessons on the street, though other people think that Rosie is a con artist, Tessa finds out that she was in truth a famous ballerina, that was believed to have died in a concentration camp during World War II.  With her mother and Rosie’s help Tessa gets a place in a dance school and in turn she secures Rosie a job there as a teacher.
