Slave of the Witch’s Cat

Plot

Three hundred years ago , Joseph Smithson brought to justice the Blandingham witch, who swore that the number thirteen would bring about her revenge on the Smithson family. Thirteen generations later, on Tina  Smithson’s thirteenth birthday, the witch’s stuffed cat disappeared from its glass case in the town’s museum . . . and an identical cat mysteriously attached itself to the Smithson household!

The Great Big World of Minnie Hopper

Plot

Whem fourteen-year-old Minnie Hopper accidentally spoiled the Wambashi African Dancers’ stage act, Banshena, the troupe’s witch doctor, put a spell on Minnie. Banshena’s spell made Minnie shrink to a height of only nine inches! Minnie followed the troupe to ask Banshena to reverse the spell, but when the life of one of the dancers was threatened, they went into hiding at a secret address.

Plot

Patty Lester was a talented young artist, but one day  she did a drawing of a witch that had been bricked up behind a wall in an ancient house. After that Patty’s picture started to cause trouble – as if the spirit of the witch had been released to take revenge!

The Spell on Aunt Nell – and me as well! / My Weird Woolly!

Plot

Katie Bell and her Aunt Nell help out a gipsy woman, who tells them as a reward she can grant them one wish but it must be the same thing and they have to wish for it at the same time. Neither of them believe in spells but later in the evening they wish for each others lives during an argument. So this means boisterous Katie and prim Aunt Nell end up switching places at times.

Katie Bell returns in more weird adventures when she gets a Woolly (a jacket) that gets supercharged with static making it magnetic. Sometimes she can work this to her advantage but not always!

Ten Green Bottles [1987]

Plot

Elaine Simmons and her mother were holidaying with her Great Aunt. When they arrive, they find aunt Gwen collapsed muttering about bottles in the cellar and evil. Still Elaine can’t resist checking out the cellar, there she find what appear to be empty but corked bottles with the warning if one bottle is opened then all must be opened.
