Plot:
Carol Wyatt and Sandra Leigh had been friends and neighbours all their lives. When their parents quarrelled and forbade them to speak to each other, the girls were determined to remain friends.

Dixie Smith and Lionel Wordsworth want to become ballroom dancing champions. But their mothers hate each other, and Mrs Wordsworth starts causing trouble.
Cousins Meg and Jane Wentworth are staying with their rich grandmother. Grandma is going to leave her fortune to one of her granddaughters. Jane discovers this and is trying to get rid of Meg so she will be the one to inherit.
Friends Cathy and Emma both start modelling, their mothers fall out over this, arguing about who is the better model. Cathy and Emma are determined it won’t affect their friendship though.
Helen Ford and Clare Kirby were forbidden to have anything to do with each other because their fathers didn’t get on. However, Helen and Clare decided to remain friends in secret.
