Two of a Kind

Plot

Carrie and Val Grantley live on their parents farm and both love ponies. Carrie is a less confident rider than her younger sister. She takes on a nervy pony named Patchwork, that nobody else wanted. Together they help build up each other’s confidence.

A Pony Tale

Plot

Stories about the different British ponies told by the ponies themselves. Each story had it’s own title. One such story is  Spoilt Snowy about a  welsh mountain pony, who is a showhorse. He ends up learning to be a mountain pony after wandering away from a crash. Another Patient Penny is about a Dartmoor pony who keeps getting sold off when her owners outgrow her, she finally finds a forever home with a young dissabled girl Judy, who just wants her for going on rambles.

Patch Pony on the Run

Plot

Kathy Spencer was sent to live on a farm with her aunt and uncle after her parents death. Kathy rescued a pony, Patch, from the farm t as she overheard a plot to kill Patch. They were now on run with her uncle in pursuit.

Bringing Up Gipsy

Plot

Julie Latimer was the daughter of Giles Latimer, a race-horse trainer. One day she found a foal abandoned by the gipsies and brought it home. From the start Gipsy made her mark z. on the strict routine of the racing stables. Now Gipsy was big enough for Julie to ride regularly. All she needed was as a set of shoes.

The Silver Stallion

Plot

Lucy Lawson’s father was the new veterinary surgeon at the Welsh town of Derrycoed. During a visit to her friend’s hill farm she had encountered the legendary silver stallion, a handsome Arab horse which ran wild at the head of a herd of Welsh ponies. The stallion had injured a leg and Lucy had installed it in a cave, hoping to get her father to tend to its injury. But Lucy’s father announced that he had been given orders to destroy the stallion if it were ever captured

The Junkyard Jumper

Plot

Sally Miller helped her grandfather with his scrap and junk travelling round in a cart pulled by their horse, Rocket. Sally had discovered that Rocket was a very good jumper—and she wanted to become a top show -jumper. The pair had impressed Clare Postgate, a former champion, now disabled by a car accident, who offered to train them. Sally was keen, but Grandad was not so enthusiastic. He didn’t want his business to suffer, and would allow Sally to train only when be didn’t need Rocket to pull the cart.

Plot

Plot

Patsy and Paula Bell were cousins who  were always quarreling. When they were given a horse, Sunny, to share, they quarreled more than ever. The answer seemed to have been found when they acquired a trap and harness, which enabled them to enter for Ride and Drive Contests, because Paula liked driving and Patsy jumping.
