Mystery at Moor’s End

Plot

The Maynard family went to spend a holiday at the disused railway station of Moor’s End, which had been left to them by Mrs Maynard’s Uncle Albert. On the night of their arrival, the Maynards could scarcely believe their eyes when a train flashed through the station. Next day a mysterious man named George came to the station saying that he had once been a porter at Moor’s End. When Marion and Christine Maynard followed George to see what he was up to, they had to dodge into a tunnel to avoid being seen. Suddenly a train came rushing through the disused tunnel towards them. The girls managed to avoid being hit by pressing up against the wall. Meanwhile all the locals deny there are any trains running, the girls are determined to solve the mystery.
