Tina Tells

Plot

During a school trip to a local museum, Tina Barnes tried on a ‘gossip’s bridle’ which left her with the uncontrollable urge to spread any secrets she happened to hear. This, and the fact that she always added to her stories to make them more interesting, had resulted in Tina losing all her friends.

Cremond Hall / Cremond Castle / Blackwell Hall

Plot

Cremond Hall had been the country seat of the Earls of Cremond for many hundreds of years. Now, it was uninhabited except for its custodian, Miss Hatherleigh, and the echoes of its past. Miss Hatherleigh tells strange stories of about the Cremond Hall (later referred to as Cremond Castle), each story had an individual title.

It was reprinted in Nikki under the name Blackwell Hall.

Callous Cassie

Plot:

Cassie Brown is a teacher at Morley Grange School, which is run by the cruel and hated Miss Pike. Cassie is just as much hated by the pupils and nicknamed “Callous Cassie”. They do not know Cassie is only pretending to be cruel in order to secretly help them against Miss Pike.

Just the Two of Us…

Plot

Lorna Young and Mike Osborne are dating and both have the same problem – parents who keep pushing them to do what they want (university for Mike and Dad’s shop for Lorna when she leaves school) and have no respect for what Mike and Lorna want. The situation reaches the point to where Mike runs away and Lorna goes in search of him.

Plot

When Jenny Hamilton meets Alex Graham on holiday, he takes some compromising photographs of them together. Then, when Alex transfers to Jenny’s school, he uses the photographs to blackmail her – along with other acts of bullying at the school.
