Jenny and the Robot Schoolgirl [1966]

Plot

Jenny Anderson is often very lonely because her scientist father is too busy and tends to neglect her. He also neglects the bills and keeping her private tutor paid. He invents a robot companion named Ruby for Jenny, which works out well. Ruby also serves as the housekeeper and Jenny’s tutor. When the bailiffs come collecting chattels to pay off Dad’s debts, Ruby gets rid of them, but Dad is worried they will come back for Ruby because they saw her components are valuable (gold, rubies and other precious stones). So he sends Ruby to a safe haven – school with Jenny!

Plot

Maisie Moss has a pet duck called Quackers, who is a real character. His personality soon has him in demand for advertisements.

Abracadabra Academy

Plot:

Jamara Jones comes from a line of witches, but she wants to be an ordinary girl. Moreover, her spells keep backfiring, with hilarious results. However, her mother wants her to follow the family tradition and sends her to Abracadabra Academy, a school for witchcraft.

The Land of Nowhere

Plot

When Nancy Wilson waters her sunflowers with a special growing powder, they just grow and grow. Nancy climbs the sunflowers to look for her cat Prudence and finds herself in The Land of Nowhere, a magic wonderland. In the Land of Nowhere, Nancy gains magical powers, but gets herself into trouble each time she uses them.

Ballerina on a String

Plot:

When Jenny Lane realised she was not wanted by her aunt and uncle, she ran away and got a job in a marionette theatre as Sugar Plum, the ballerina puppet.  Someone else at the circus had guessed Jenny’s secret and wanted to help her continue her ballet training, but she could only guess at her mystery friend’s identity.
