Jenny and the Robot Schoolgirl [1966]

Plot

Jenny Anderson is often very lonely because her scientist father is too busy and tends to neglect her. He also neglects the bills and keeping her private tutor paid. He invents a robot companion named Ruby for Jenny, which works out well. Ruby also serves as the housekeeper and Jenny’s tutor. When the bailiffs come collecting chattels to pay off Dad’s debts, Ruby gets rid of them, but Dad is worried they will come back for Ruby because they saw her components are valuable (gold, rubies and other precious stones). So he sends Ruby to a safe haven – school with Jenny!

Plot

Tina Tomkins is not a bright pupil although her father is a famous scientist. One day, Dad builds a robot double of Tina, named Tara, which can learn any subject in minutes. Unfortunately, Tara turns evil.

Goode Neighbours

Plot

Twins Jo and Jill Davie are intrigued when the Goode family move in next door. But they soon find there is something very odd about the Goodes. For one thing , they seem to possess super strength and don’t show emotion. They also seem to be out to take things over with the expression “Whatever I’ll do, it’ll be for your own good. I will look after you.” Things get even weirder when the Davie twins encounter doubles of themselves who seem to be just the same. Eventually the Davie twins discover the Goode family are robots.

I-am-a-Robot!

Plot

Jackie Johnson pretends to be a humanoid robot, Shena (Simulated-Humanoid-Electro-Newtronic-Automation) to save her scientist father from ruin. “Shena” is designed to protect wealthy Daphne Richmond, but Daphne gets kidnapped. Meanwhile, Daphne’s chauffeur Andrew discovers Jackie’s secret, and then two “robots” attempt to rescue Daphne.

Plot:

U2, a robot space dog, escapes from a spaceship during an exploratory visit to Earth. He takes an immediate liking to Jackie Harris and decides to stay. In so doing he is ignoring all starship orders to return, but still transmits information to the starship when he wants to.

Rita’s Robots

Plot:

In the year 2003, Rita Knox’s father had been given the task of choosing a prototype home-robot, which was to be launched on the mass market. Rita persuaded him to try out F.E. and K.C.  in their own home, but the two robots had become instant enemies.
