The Whispering Willows

Plot

Priscilla White came to Pelham, a large industrial town, with her widowed mother. Finding that there were no play-grounds, she decided to do all in her power to get one for the children of Pelham. She went to “The Willows” a large house in large, neglected grounds, hoping to persuade the owner, old Jasper Tweezer, to let the children play on his land. Mr Tweezer was not fond of children though and rejected such an idea.
