The Grey Angels

During the Great War of 1914, a gallant band of Scottish doctors and nurses under the leadership of Dr Elsie Inglis, serve in war-torn Siberia. Because of the colour of their uniforms, the nurses are nicknamed The Grey Angels by many of the grateful Serbians. This story is told by Maire Raeburn, a young Scottish girl adopted by the unit after becoming separated from her parents, who were living in Serbia at the outbreak of the war.
