Spoilt Tanya Leroy was forced to bale out of her father’s private plane over the Canadian forests. There she met a strange woman named Diver, who offered to guide her back to civilisation, but Tanya’s tantrums were causing a lot of trouble on their journey.
Liz Maxwell lived in the North-West of Canada with her father, a research scientist who was trying to perfect an artificial fur. Pete Broderick and Armand Dupont, two fur trappers, saw a danger to their business, and burned down Dr Maxwell’s laboratory. Liz’s father was blinded in the fire, but he and Liz continued with their work. They produced a fur and Dr Maxwell went to town to discuss production with a large firm there. Broderick and Dupont tried to kidnap Liz, but she escaped.
Sue Flynn is the daughter of a Canadian Mountie, she is taken hostage along with her dog, Blue, by a crook named Dawson. When the plane Dawson hijacked, crashed, he broke his leg and only then did he discover Sue was blind. Not wishing to be arrested, he made a sledge and forced Sue an Blue to haul him overland, towards outlaw town.
While her father recovers from his broken leg, Nanette Gordon is in charge of their trading store which stands on the shore of Moose Lake in Canada. This includes taking charge of deliveries.
