Cindy Smith is the daughter of a Cockney scrap merchant. Cindy agrees to switch identities with Princess Melba of Astolia, who fears her father’s enemies are out to kidnap her. Cindy is aware this means putting herself in danger from the kidnappers, and it is not long before the danger strikes.
Show-jumper Ruth Collins is nicknamed “Ruthless Ruth” because she goes out to wins as much as possible. But the money is meant to pay off her father’s debts to Jardine Holdings. She does not realise that Holdings deliberately set the interest rates too high so he could buy out her father. Things get worse when Ruth takes a job with the unscrupulous Vallones, and there are soon very nasty plots against Ruth once Holdings realises she is paying off the debts better than he expected.
Plot:
Kala the mysterious eagle girl, was helping a British regiment on their retreat from Kabul, in the North-west of India, in 1842. Under constant threat from Akbar Khan’s rebel forces, the column mode its way slowly towards Jallalabad.

Welfare worker Fiona Granger inherits a derelict farm, and she persuades her superiors to move in with three problem girls to develop the farm in the hope of reforming them. Two of the girls, Gillian and Marilyn accept the idea. But the third, Joyce, is causing problems.
Jane Wilson was thrilled when she was chosen to tour South America with the British International Schoolgirls hockey team and it only dawned on her gradually that all the other girls came from exclusive private schools. She makes friends with one girl, Sandra, but two other girls, Kay and Daphne, keep making nasty remarks to Jane. Jane is happy that after the trip she will never have to see them again, but on the flight home the plane runs into trouble and crashes in the mountains.
Flight to Fear – Judy: # 833 (27 December 1975) – #839 (7 February 1976)
As babies, twins Marris and Merri had been washed onto the shore at the Welsh village of Porwen and found by Daniel Hughes, a fisherman. Around the babies’ necks had been fine, unbreakable chains. As the girls grew, so, mysteriously, did the chains. Apart from this they seemed normal girls. Nobody knew that they could swim underwater for miles or that they could communicate with the sea creatures. There was a problem in the village as for weeks the fishermen had returned to harbour each day, without a catch.
The twins return several times, like when sea creatures in the waters by Porwen, mutated into monsters and attacked the villagers. Merri and Morris, the strange sea-children with remarkable powers, returned to help their adopted village. When Morris was trapped by a giant oyster, Merri called to the far-off Wise Ones of the Deep for help as she struggled to free herself from mutated seaweed.
Another time an unknown element had poisoned all the shellfish off the coast of Porwen, and several unexplained disappearances had occurred. Merri and Morris, had discovered aliens living in a transparent dome on the sea-bed. The Twins had made a pact with Zakon, the leader of the aliens, but it seemed as if he had broken it.
