Forgotten Dreams

Plot:

Suffering from amnesia, Inez was trying to find out  her true identity. After escaping from some odd people who claimed to be her family, she went to stay with a man who said he was her uncle. But she soon realised she was a prisoner in his heavily fortified mansion. One day, a visiting dairyman addressed her as “Melanie” and she realised that he had recognised her.

Plot

Nancy has lost her memory, and now she is being claimed by 12 different mothers with missing daughters. Each mother had their own reason for wanting Nancy, while she hoped with every new home she had found her real mother.

Plot:

Hannah and Herbie

Plot:

Roma the Roamer

Plot

An old gipsy woman put a curse on Julia Cardoon, re-naming  her “Roma the Roamer” and condemning her to wander throughout her life, with no memory of the past. Roma was captured by a gang of thieves. She tried to escape, but was seized by their leader, the Major.

The Champion from Nowhere

Plot

On returning home one evening, Helen and  Mike Kirby discovered a girl lying on their doorstep. The girl could remember nothing of her past, not even her own name, but she proved that she was a fine athlete. The Kirbys called the girl Anne, and promised to look after her until she was claimed.

The Face that Haunted Hayley

Plot

After a bank robbery where explosives were used, a young girl lost her memory, and her speech. She ran away from hospital and met some fairground people, Pat and Jeff Alford. They discovered she was a talented artist, and decided to cash in by setting her up as an Instant portrait artist. They called her Hayley, and pretended to be her aunt and uncle. Hayley was haunted by the face of an unknown man —but could not resist a strange urge to keep drawing sketches of the mystery man’s face. Hayley’s only friend was Frank, a boy who worked at the fairground.

Little Miss Mystery

Plot

A girl suffering from loss of memory is identified as Martha Landor,  the daughter of well-to-do parents. However, her parents, house and garden hold no memories for Martha. Only the grim housekeeper, Mrs Meeling, seems to stir the deeply-hidden past. As soon as the chance comes her way, Martha heads for the only place she can remember, the hospital she was brought to when she was first found.
